Description

Suddenly, Thousands is a mob controlling game that takes inspiration from Pikmin and The Swapper. As a lone individual, you can recruit characters with synchronized movements to help push blocks, trigger switches, and avoid perilous lasers. Help lead the mob to it's sacred safe-house!

Developed by one developer from Bacon Game Jam 08 (October 2014).

TrentSterling (Trent Sterling) 9 9 9 10 9 8 5 9 This was surprisingly polished given the timeframe. The mechanic is great. I was able to get a few characters outside the level boundaries, but nothing a large ceiling collider wouldn't fix.

lindarthebard (Lindar Kelleigh Greenwood) 10 9 9 8 8 9 7 10 Wow. Seriously. If this was a full release I'd buy it. What really sold it for me was when I discovered not only that different bodies had different jump/speed/etc, but that it was necessary to take advantage of that (including bdoy height). I don't even understand how one person makes a game like this. Wow.

framk (Joe Dolan) 6 2 7 4 7 3 2 3 If you're going to use other people's models, particularly Unity Chan - one that's so frequently used, please give credit to the people who create the models. The rules clearly state that you have to give credit where credit is due, and it seems that you've neglected to do that. Otherwise, this is a very solid game. Good work, man.

"I was able to get some of my characters to jump outside the level." D'oh! Those dreaded corner jumps that amplifies your jumping abilities! Gah, I hate it when I leave out bugs like these. Thanks for letting me know.

Wow, really great game! Some clever and challenging puzzles! I really like the variety of characters and how you have to utilize their differences to complete some of the puzzles.

This is a really nice game. The only issue I had was that I was able to get some of my characters to jump outside the level. Very interesting mechanic!

Ok, this is simply genius! A great concept well executed. It's really fun and challenging to play. I think you win this one, man :).

This is one of the cooler games in this jam so far. Enjoyed it quite a bit.

Hi excellent game you made. Really nice gameplay, tutorial approach, idea, graphics, sound... Wow! Well done!

  • CodeLuca (4 years ago)

Wow. I think we may have a winner.

  • japtar (4 years ago)

Quick note: I updated the game description to indicate where each asset came from. The credits in the game also contains this information, but just in case, it's there.

There was indeed a super-early build that, due to a coding error, didn't have the credits in, but this was fixed very quickly.

Thanks to framk for pointing this out.

Really well done. Nice game. I included it in part 6 of my Bacon Game Jam 08 compilation video series, if you’d like to check it out! http://youtu.be/SboEzUNC1ys
