Description

Where am I? What is this hunger? My mind... The Hunger is a sensory experience, put on your headphones and find the blissful exit through the maze of your mind.

Technology used

unity lightmap cubes

Help / Controls

WASD + mouse to find the exit while surviving starvation (black screen).

Sitting idle drains you, walking drains you much faster, eat the blue orbs to replenish.

Listen to your breath, it indicates how close you are to die from starvation.

There are multiple valid path, some are easier than others, some are more beautiful than others.

momspaghetti (Daniel Sitnick) 3 4 9 7 4 6 8 1 4 I can never understand these games. They clearly try to serve an artistic purpose, but it doesn't affect me. The audio is great, a nice touch, and very immersive. The graphics are fine, but there's no clear goal. I walked to the sphere and it just gave a black screen that said "ravenous hunger" and nothing else happened. I don't know if that was intentional, but its message was lost on me. There are also small technial things you could have added. It was made in unity, so if you had done a simple showcurser = false, it would have made the immersion complete.

    Once you listen to the breathing you get a sense of your state in a much better way than any visual gauge, you'll see.

    Unity web export does not work on linux. Please make a linux release!

    This game has a really great look... the lighting and overall aesthetics were beautiful.

    I made the game much easier and it is much more fun. This exercise was very educational and I will apply what I learned to my commercial game.

    Are there more levels? I got to the first orb and it just sat on the black screen with some text for a while before quitting
